Fine, for some of us it is just a source of fun and killing time but there could be people out there who were influenced (however little) by this chaotic yet addictive part of Yahoo.
*waits for someone to come forward.
Thank you.

Affected too much
Before join in yahoo answers, I just thought that my Islam has been enough coz I pray 5 times a day. and now I realize, that I just know nothing about my religion, and R&S has made me want to learn more, and I learn to respect others.

It has made me want to read more. I see way too many people answering questions that they know absolutely nothing about and it looks bad for those they represent. It also shows me how little I know and how much there is to learn. The suicidal kids on here get to me. I feel compelled to watch for them to try to talk sense into them before they do the unthinkable. It has also affected the amount of housework I get done, for the worse. God bless!!

Its affected my a bit.. I often find my self upset after being on this board. There is often alot of negativity, which is really sad. Religion and spirituality should be positive, but so often people are bashing each others beliefs. This board is a good way to learn about other people, and other peoples beliefs, but so many people have such closed minds.

Yes actually, it has begun to help me be tolerant of religous folks. I was terribly bigotted towards them and have always hated that about myself and I can honsetly say now that I bear ill will to certain individuals within various faiths but not the faiths as a whole.

Y! answers has helped me grow as a person.

It is exactly what you said..fun and a good way to kill time...and very addictive.

It has actual strengthened my walk in my religious beliefs..It has also really caused me to research a lot of things I have not before...wordings in the Bible, and It has inspired me to read many different books about evolution, and I am currently trying to find something along the lines of an idiots guide to carbon dating and the other "dating" methods...something easy to read that breaks the theories down in laymens terms...if ANYONE has any recommendations..please email me with them..

I'll admit it. It's the sole reason why I cannot walk away from Y!A. I just get too much of a kick out of religion. When I was small, I actually entertained the notion of being a missionary, that's how interested in religion I am. I'm taking a comparative religion class in college and I love it.

Just made me more aware of the diversity in what many people believe in, whether of faith or not..

Am only on here 1-3 hours a day.

I have realized just how ignorant some of my brethren really are. I understand where the stereotypes of Christianity come from. It has made me a better representative of my faith, if only to offset the damage done by the radicals and zealots that make us look like lunatics.
