That's why he's doing his best to ruin mankind and steer them away from what is good. He requested only respite for a time from God knowing he will not be forgiven. How then can one who is not to be shown mercy, give mercy? Ask your Satan to forgive you, he'll do anything you want as long as Satan can laugh wholeheartedly at you afterward.
