Doesn't it imply that every non-christian is morally inferior to christians...?

If not then obviously bible is "not" source of all morals.

You can't have it either way.

So what is it christians... you consider 80% of human beings are morally inferior to you?

Conslusion: There is no need for God to say that lying is immoral.

The Bible will give you the foundation, teachings, and ways to handle different things and situations that you will come across in your life. The Ten Commandments are some of the most important rules in Christianity, BUT God also has let us make our own choices. Whether or not you believe, we as humans make our own decisions on morals with the guidelines from the Bible. Nobody is inferior to anyone else, people make it that way, morals good and bad come from within oneself.
If the Bible was gospel and everyone lived by it day in and day out- THEN WHY IS EVERYTHING SCREWED UP?- makes you wonder now doesn't it?

A person's moral character comes from being created in the image of God. Here's what the Bible teaches about this subject.

Romans 2:14 For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. 15 They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them.

In other words God gave mankind consciences that lead to an inner understanding of morality. It might interest you to know that this is one of the arguments used to show that God exists. If mankind is a random creation where chance put us all together then where did morality come from? If survival of the fittest is the rule that dominates genetic selection then why would people feel that it was wrong for the strong to rob and kill the weak?

Dear, morals come from the bible and we wish we could keep them perfectly. We don't but we try by the grace of God. The difference is you or shall I say unbelievers, do what you want, when you want, whether it is moral or immoral (or not biblically).

For example: Sex outside of marriage is sinful. A clear commandment.
When the Lord saved me, I kept that commandment till my wedding night. As for the unbeliever -they sleep together, live together, etc. you know, we all know..........therefore immoral. In this case, I was morally superior.

BUT here is the clincher........this is VERY important........no Christian has the right to look down their nose and say 'I' am better than anyone BECAUSE we could very easily have been there too. We can not take the glory for 'goodness' apart from the work of God through us. (This might be difficult to grasp). Another way to put it is: we do what is right but through Christ's power working in us. We can not take the glory for any good thing we do, HE gets it all!!! BUT when I sin, it is me, fully responsible for my wrongdoing.

One more time, if the Lord hadn't intervened and saved me and made me a new creation, I would be doing the same immoral things others that don't know Him do. Therefore I can NOT boast in my flesh and my works.

Did that help?

morals, or a sense of right and wrong come from God- He has created every person with His laws written on their hearts- He has created us with an ingrained sense of His order and a sense of what is and is not Godly behavior, thoughts and attitude. When people justify and continue to pravtice sin, when they do not have the Holy Spirit to strengthen them, when they refuse to acknowledge the sovereignty of God they begin to lose that sense of morality. Nonchristians can still live seemingly moral lives (though morality goes way beyond how one behaves , it goes deeper to thoughts and attitudes of the heart, to the very motivation behind every action - motivation that is not Godly is self)
Christians often have wrong motives behind their "moral" actions also. It is not a question of moral superiority- Christians claiming moral superiority should examine their own actions and motives before pointing the finger at others.
It is interesting to note that in the Bible, when the church leaders were chastising the people about their immorality, they were NOT talking to the unbelievers- they were speaking to and instructng the members of the church.

I almost think that the statement "All morality comes from the bible" is self-defeating. While I understand the rationale behind it (how do you determine right from wrong without God), it defeats itself because most people do not kill each other or steal or rape etc. What this means is that all "morality" needs is for people to obey it, nothing more. This is the same for laws, whether the law is right or wrong or has a higher power behind it is irrelevant if people simply obey it. It is kind of like propaganda, it doesnt matter whether it is true as long as people believe it.

Actually, I wouldn't say they come from the Bible. They come from God. God gives us the ability to know right from wrong. You can call it conscience, morality, or whatever. Because I believe God gives this to ALL human beings, I do not believe that I am superior to anyone. Everyone has the same thing I do. Some choose to exercise it, others do not. That is every person's choice.

The Bible doesn't even say that, Why would Christians? The Bible says that everyone has a conscience and that the law is written on their hearts so that no one will have an excuse on the day of judgment. Let me find the exact quote for you. Here it is. I think I summed it up quite nicely.
Romans 2:14-16

(Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, 15since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.) 16This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.

No. True Christians believe in the Bible...... and the Bible states that God loves all people, regardless of religion or anything else, equally. Christians believe what God says in the Bible is more important than what man says. And since God says all people are equal, thus, a true Bible-believing Christian also believes that all people are equal, not that Christians are superior in any way.

It can't be, since humans had morals thousands of years before the Bible was created.

You can find the same morals in the Bible in the Constitution. It's not like these morals (treat others the way you want to be treated, etc) are only found in the Bible.
