Im finally redecorating and Ive been drooling over my vision of painting it in the medium-dark brown shade of "Copper wire" ......I cant really find a direct link to it but if you go to www.sherwin.com and then quick search copper wire then a color sample comes up. I love this shade of brown so much, and it goes with all of my brightly colored paintings and oranges and purples (mostly all tropical looking with multiple bright colors), and I feel like this brown would be a good base for all of it. Whites and creams really bore me out, but do I have a choice since my room is small?

Honestly the fact that my decorations: paintings, pillowcases, abanicos (spanish handpainted fans) are so colorful is my biggest problem....because any one color (like light orange or light purple) just wouldnt fit right.

p.s - I have one large window in my room and its current color is an ugly dull shade of powder blue that matches NOTHING... not even my style or personality.

Try painting one wall with ur chosen color and hang ur paintings there, then paint the other walls with a lighter version of the same color. I too find whites and light walls boring, I wouldn`t hesitate one moment in painting a small room in deeper color tones, it makes the room feel cozier not smaller. Go for it !

i could do a redish brown, yet make it somewhat darkish as nicely. ought to have that rail be a organic wood, extremely than portray it, exceptionally no longer white. regardless of you do do no longer paint the genuine factor of the wall lite or pastel green, it seems terrible. The apartment I moved into became painted like that with a floral broder dividing it. It became nasty looking. I repainted each and all the partitions interior the front room section vintage white, and feather dusted 2 partitions will a medium tan coloration paint. It seems a lot greater valuable.

the rule of thumb used to be that small rooms shouldn't be painted dark colour, that is no longer true. I have a very small room and I painted it navy blue it looks great. Go with the colour you love and I might suggest that you use white with a semi gloss for the trim and doors. Paint your ceiling a white and that will make the room appear bigger. Hope this helps but go with what you like you'll be happier with the outcome. Good luck

Don't ;paint all the walls with this color. Use it on one or two walls. If you must paint all the walls this color, paint the ceiling an off white, cream color and then put up crown moulding. Paint it bright gloss white. Moulding is very inexpensive and looks great.

Your choice of color is fine, but know it willl make your room seem smaller. You might want to consider just paitingn two walls with your new color instead of the whole room which may be over powering.
