Currently,i'm helping at a hospice, but i feel what i'm doing is little,i plan to do more after my exams,to do something to benefit others, like raising public awareness so that ppl will realise there are alot of unfortunate ppl and will help them by donation,or i want to do something to help all those ppl,i have dreams, and i've been racking my brain but no ideas came up,and i'm only a teenager, with no help and i can't depend on my family for financial issues,i didn't find anyone who have the same passion with me,i've always thought of helping other very unfortunate countries, but i guess i should start small first, that is with my own country,i just want to make unfortunate ppl's lives better, maybe the poor, like giving food or clothes, but from where do I get ppl to help and the sources?and financial aid?i don't even have a license..maybe ppl who have experience in these kind of things can share with me..i really need help, thanks alot.

It only takes one fish to grow into a big shark.

You can do a lot. You can write press releases, take photos and video to send into the media places... use something specific as an example. You don't have to name people but tell a heartful story that will make people take notice. At the end of the release you make a mention of your organization and where people can volunteer or donate. Make it compelling, a human interest piece. Can you write well?

Vote out the republicans if you want to make a real difference. Oklahoma fixed where if schools get grants and donations then an equal amount is taken from the school's state funding so it really makes no difference ... thanks to the new republican governor essentially making the republican secretary of education a dictator after getting rid of the state school board. I'm sure Texas won't be far behind on this idea either. If you want some ideas for fundraisers though, basket auctions always bring in a lot of revenue. You go around to local businesses and get them to donate things and then you put these thing together in baskets and auction them off. You can usually get flower shops to donate the baskets themselves. It's free advertising for the donors and makes them look good so most businesses will give you something. Often these are combined with some sort of benefit dinner like spaghetti or BBQ.

I was going to answer this question, but 1 Hot Photographer took the words right out of my mouth. She gives good advice. One thing I would add is, that if you want to write something yourself, and you're in school, go to the teacher/adviser who does your school newspaper and start there. He/she can help you write this up as an op/ed piece in your paper and then it can go to the local paper, perhaps with additional support and assistance from them. I would push this as far as you can and bring as much attention to it as you can. You seem to be a passionate person. That's great. It will take you far in life if you let it. Good luck and I wish you the very best.

p.s. Please don't say that you are 'only' a teenager. You are much more than that. Joan of Arc was only a teenager too; and she led a whole army to victory.

You can join a charitable or people oriented Foundation
and start your dream and passion of helping unfortunate
people, or better when you grow up, you can enter
Congregation of Nuns, like the Sisters of Mercy.
