i was just wondering if someone who was born with the ability to seem could become blind during their lives. And if so, can it be fixed if part of the problem is known?

Of course someone who is born with eyesight could go blind during their lifetime. It could be due to an accident, contact with chemicals, a disease. . . . And there are surgeries that can correct some (but not all obviously) blindness when the problem is known.

Yes, someone born with the ability to see could be afflicted with disease or have an accident that would cause them to become blind. Depending on what the problem is, it could be fixed.

Yes. In fact, most blind people were not born blind, they had an eye injury or developed eye disease after birth.

Whether there is a "fix" or not depends upon the cause of blindness; there are hundreds, if not thousands, of different causes of blindness.

This made me think of the movie Daredevil,he could see and then chemicals blinded him,he ended up gaining hearing and better senses, but nothing could be done to save the eyesight. Same goes in real life.

of course, seeing people go blind a lot...due to a disease or an accident...it depends on what causes the loss, whether it can be fixed or not...once the sight is gone, it's rarely gotten back without an eye transplant...they have corneal transplants and other parts that can be replaced, but why risk it...take care that you are safe and use protective safety glasses to do anything that might cause damage to your eyes...

They could get hit in the eye with a paintball, or at least that's what happened to me and now I see about 20/350.
