I exchanged phone numbers with this girl a few days ago. But, I'm wondering whether I should start calling her. We already get along great just with AIM (chatting online), and we chat about every other day or so. Should I just save the phone for important things... like asking her out on a date (which I plan to do in a few days, perhaps... :p)?

Also, I wonder if it's better to just use AIM, since using the phone takes up minutes, unless I call like late at night...

Well its better to start talking on the phone now so when you call and ask her out it want feel awkward..and if she that important then waisting sum of your minutes isnt that bad.

I'd call her if you really like her. do you know her well? Is she a stranger? Maybe you should do some checking up on your lady friend before you make that call. Never hurt. Besides you don't want to get into something that'll be hard getting out of.

Suck it up and use the phone. AIM is too sterile and impersonal. If you call her on the phone, it'll be more real, and will mean more to her and you.

I say just call her and if you really want to know if she would like it just ask her most of the time its all good but it just does not hurt to ask you know. Hope I helped

Call her. If you have a connection and talk I think she is worth some time,minutes, and money on your phone. Dont you think so?

Calling her would show that you are confident. I would definately ask her out on the phone, its more personal.
