I don't know what you mean by being babied.

I tell you what I think and maybe it will help. My husband calls me fiercly independant. When I was pregnant with our youngest who is almost 3 I had to stop working (difficult pregnancy), I was lucky in the fact that I didn't need to work becuase my husband is financially succesful. By the time my son was 15 months I had started a small business, 6 months later I started another, 3 months ago I started another. I can't not contribute to my family financially and yes running 3 businesses from home is hard along with running after a 3 yr old and a 16 yr old, taking care of our home and my relationship with my husband.

What do I expect from the men in my life, acknowledgement on my birthdays, holidays. The occational pizza instead of me cooking and a nap on Sunday afternoon. Am I babied, maybe but I work damn hard and I make sure that those around me are treated like royalty and I hope for same from them.

I pick up boxes, I scrub floors and do windows. I want basic respect and lots of love from those I love. I feed everyone who walks through my door even if it means opening a jar of salsa and a bag of tortilla's.

I love it when my brothers and my husband make me a cup of tea and help me move things I physically can't.

I love to pick up the check when I am with my brothers but I do expect them to do the same. I guess what I am saying is that you need to find a grown woman who lives her life with personal responsibility and respect. Then you won't think that she is babied you will think you are just showing her a little extra attention because you want to.

If I am way off let me know.

Just be more sensitive to them than your guy friends. If a woman is crying, try to find out why and tell her it's all going to be okay. Usually women don't want to be "babied", women who want to be babied probably had a rough childhood or didn't get enough attention from their parents or something. If you care about and love a woman, you will want to show her love, consideration, respect, and sensitivity; that's all we really want anyways.

I don't think a man should baby a woman any more than a woman should baby a man. A couple should always do spontanious, romantic things to/for eachother, but the man shouldn't sit around racking his brain trying to think of things to do for his woman. Showing affection and concern is good enough, or it should be.

Its proper to baby any woman who wishes to be babied.
If a woman insists on being babied and you don't want to then don't!!

I think that if you have to put it like this... the answer would be No - it's not proper.

It's only proper to have a baby when both parents think they are up for the task and have discussed it among themself.

I hate being babied. I like to feel like an adult not a child. When I am with older men I get annoyed by it.

What? I would find it offensive if men babied me! Maybe you are just associating yourself with the wrong people...

You hang out with, or pursue, the wrong women.
