Hello there. I have been through that. I don't know what the answer will be for you, but I will tell you this -- even if you feel completely hopeless those feelings can pass and you can find meaning again. Do not limit yourself to the single path that you know, but don't close the door on the possibility that you will find the answer back where you started. Look for good things people do around you. If you look, you will be startled by the good things you see, the love that people express against all odds. Look at the beauty around you. Think of a way that you can help someone less fortunate, and get to that. It will take you far.

Are there any other symptoms, like depression, anxiety, alcoholism? What made you lose your faith? Did someone die? You sound suicidal. Not good.
I'd see a psychiatrist tomorrow, and if you think you're going to harm yourself or others, dial 911.
Usually loss of faith is a component of another larger syndrome. I experienced it with one of my longer depressive episodes. I felt that God had forsaken me, wasn't listening to my prayers, and I had a really hard heart to Him, so I stopped reading the Bible, talking with Christians and praying. This is true desperation.
If you feel I can help, e-mail me. Otherwise, check out the following website. They have more information than I could ever give, and they have people to find drs. in your area.
www.NAMI.org.
He is still there, you know. Your feelings are misleading because you're having such a hard time. But you have to stand on the truth, and the truth is that God loves us always and will never abandon us. He hears your every prayer and is answering them, though you may not be able to sense that. Have faith in the facts, the things you know to be true: the Bible.

well I would ask faith in what? but I know I loose my faith in humanity a lot, (I work with the public) so one of the things I do is I read about new discoverys in science read hitory, literature art music, and just look at some of the things man has created in it's short period here on the earth. If your talking about faith in a higher power, this may sound rather odd but the book the "Tao of Pooh" and "The Te of Piglet" really helped me refine what I believed in, it made me personally realize that we all have a purpose in life and that we need to follow the flow that is layed out for our lives and not to fight it.

Do you know why? There is a possibility you are only allowing yourself to see the negative side of things. Force yourself to see the positive side of ANY situation, no matter how bad or stupid it seems. There is good in every situation, though it may be hard to find at times. Try keeping a journal too and discussing why you feel the way you feel. Only you can answer these questions and perhaps it will tell you something you weren't aware of. That's what happened with me. Good luck!!!!

you don't say what made you lose your faith...if you want to get it back, visit a cancer ward at any hospital and talk to those people...or go to a children's hospital and watch those kids who are fighting just to live...you will get your faith back and feel much better about your own life...every day you wake up is a blessed one if you can breathe on your own, walk by yourself, hear, see and you know the rest...not everyone can do those things without help...talk to a friend or loved one, they can always help too...

as 'aerosmith' would say,
'talk with yourself and you will hear what you want to know'. you don't have to have an immediate answer to anything, take your time and do some soul searching, talk to people you trust, read about what you are confused about. give yourself time to figure out, if this is really the case for you, it seems like you might have experienced something traumatic and it damaged your faith. well ,message me back and i will chat with you about it, if you want to. this subjetc is a specialty of mine.... been through it, seen people through it...ect....

Then change it - if you can't change it then pray to the one which can.
You are feeling lost because you are helpless in the situation - you can either
A.) pray - if it's out of your hands
B.) Go full forth and make a difference let your voice be heard - express how you feel!
Write it down - even if it is to yourself - write it out!!!!!!! This maybe the only cure.

Remember what Ferris Bueller said. A person shouldn't believe in an ism. He should believe in himself. Those who want to convert you to their belief system only want to control you. They are not to be trusted.
