Can anyone tell me if they think Dundee Beach near to Darwin is likely to be a good place to invest money in land?? I have heard that it may well be a little Gold Coast within 10 years?? Any opinions?

Did you say N.T? Ha thats really funny. Have you ever been there?

I heard Adelaide will soon become the party capital though.

Are you serious? NT doesn't have anywhere near the kind of infrastructure required for that to happen. It'll happen eventually, but it'll take a lot longer than 10 years!

Go for something on the east coast if it's investment property you want. It's booming right now, and with the cities spreading like mad and more and more people wanting "holiday homes", the entire eastern coastline will eventually be over-run. Find a quite little spot in fairly easy commute to a massive city population, wait a decade or two and you're rolling in it.

I'm not sure that it will be a litle Gold Coast anytime soon. The population is only about 400, and basic amenities are scarce.

Have a look at this link, it will give you more information about it.

My mates who've been there said if you go at the wrong time you get eaten alive by sandflies but the place makes for EXCELLENT fishing.

One word - crocodiles.

Nowhere in the NT will ever be a beach style resort.
