I've read answers and questions alike that make sweeping statements like, "We are all endowed with faith at birth..." and "God exists outside of the physical world..." and "God's idea of time isn't like ours..."
These are so common that I'm beginning to think every spiritual belief is based on an original premise that won't hold water.
Any ideas... ?

To me, it appears that religious beliefs are a false premise based on Spirituality.

Actually, they're based on an easily observable truth. Suppose you found 5 rocks in a row on the beach. It might have happened by accident or someone might have put them there. What if it were 100 rocks in a row? Very unlikely that it happened by accident. What about 1,000 rocks that spell out 'Verne loves Roxy'? The odds that it happened by accident are so low that they can be dismissed. The earth and the living creatures on it are fantastically more complex than the rocks. It simply couldn't have happened by accident.

Science is nothing more than man's interpretation of the universe according to man's understanding of the universe. knowledge based on prior knowledge based on prior knowledge based on prior knowledge based on prior knowledge based on prior knowledge based on prior knowledge etc...
To atheists, any belief that is not based on prior knowledge is based on false premises.
Think outside the box.
Consider what you can't prove.

I think so as it is all made up - how can you in a relevant way base your life on something made up or imagined!
