Jehovah's Witnesses' complex in Brooklyn, New York, USA includes dozens of buildings. The buildings are separated by public roadways, so many are connected to one another by tunnels and bridges (under and over the roads).
None of those bridges or tunnels are related to the eschatological beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Nonsense. Why? Because JW's " LOOK" Forward to the end of this system of Things. They preach about a Righteous New World that is soon to come by means of God's Kingdom. and of God's War against Evil mankind. That is called in Hebrew Har–Ma·ged′on. That must takes place, and its not a Picnic either. So digging a Tunnel for what.... SAFETY? Give me a Break.

Well, if there is ever a place a person would want to be at the end of the world, that would be New York City. You have the story wrong. It was a bunch of Jehovah Witnesses that actually dug the Holland Tunnel.

I don't think this would be very surprising. People all over the country (USA), Jehovah Witnesses, Catholics, Protestants, and just plain old people, have dug tunnels and created bunkers under their houses or elsewhere on their property where they store food and necessities in case of nuclear war or other such calamity. The numbers of these really jumped up just before Y2K.
