On the East Coast, each state is different, and some states you don't need a license. States including New Jersey and north you don't see a saltwater license. South of New Jersey you need a license. Yet most likely that will change in the near future when all states require a saltwater fishing license.

In Texas is costs about $38 If I remember right for a fishing license with the Saltwater Stamp

It is true that right now you do not need a saltwater license
in the northeast. That will change very soon either the states
will require one the federal government will.I suggest you check the state you plan to fish in first.

in fl you do not need a fishing lic. if you are fishing from shore or a bridge but if you wade fish you better have one... in the keys especially

depends on the state..Pull up the state's dept.of conservation of natural resourses and you should be able to follow the steps..Hope this helped
