you know what..
people who say "americans who deserve & need them" is pretty much bullshitting.
think about all the americans who sit on their asses & get unemployment checks. there are plenty of jobs out there for people in the USA. at least 5% or whatever of Americans get unemployment checks year after year. I find that ridiculous.
i'm not voting for the illegal immigrants. sure, it's wrong for them to cheat the government out for taxes. but so are the lazy bums who get those checks when they could be working?

American citizens and permanent residents will do these jobs that people have been led to believe only illegal immigrants would do. Why? Because business will be forced to institute job sharing, better working conditions including better workplace safety, slightly higher pay, benefits, and free education via existing online college courses. In other words businesses will have to provide working conditions rooted in constructs that citizens and permanent residents are already committed to. Why, you ask, would that be good for business? Because productivity would increase making all these changes cost effective.
Right now, businesses take advantage of the illegal immigrants because they haves little recourse for working long hours in mostly oppressive working conditions. Would your productivity decrease in these conditions? So does theirs.

Some of the jobs can be filled by people that are unemployed now. Some have been laid off so that illegal immigrants could be hired for less money.
Another source would be high school and college students who are willing to do entry level jobs for less pay than most because of their lack of experience.
Legal immigrants could also be used to fill some positions.

Americans and legal immigrants will do the jobs.
As far as prices of crops, my families' farms are profitable without hiring any illegal aliens, only Americans and we have never had trouble hiring because we pay decent wages. We do not receive more money for the crops than the farms who use illegal aliens. There are no savings being passed on to consumers by farmers who hire illegal aliens, they are just padding their own bottom lines.

It has never been about who, but for how much, and if for some reason we need more workers, there are people all over the world that would pay to come and work here, and we the citizens of this country would make those decisions, not the illegals no matter how hard working or well intended

American citizens BUT expect prices on just about everything to rise dramatically. They steal jobs but their low pay enables some contractors, companies and industries to thrive - while simultaneously causing others businesses and workers to go out of business. It is a serious love hate relationship. Also if we have no more illegals to do the manual labor we will be forced to focus on increased productivity, enhanced technology and better processes - all which are good things for business in the long run. Lastly, if all the illegals go home - expect Mexico and Latin America to become a giant headache for us. Right now they basically only exists because all of the illegals money is sent home.

The illegals are cutting their own throats, they work for low wages because it beats anything they can get in Mexico, and the Americans won't work for wages that low so the only ones to make out are the companies employing them......When they are gone, the companies will pay decent wages and the Americans will do the work.........#######

teenagers... when there are jobs that are low paying who takes them? illegal immigrants and teens... both are willing to work for minimum wage... the system would just have to be rewoked for the jobs to be more convenient for them and then I think there is a good chance to work... OR you know the legal immigrants

That is plenty to take over the illegals so called "contributions" to our society. The only reason they aren't used now is because the illegal will work for less than minimum wage.
