battalion.I was able to find him through a flukey nature.I bumped into him on the street.Iwent to his place and found out that he has chronic PTSD,I need him for a court case of mine. The PTSD worries me however. At the mention of supeona,he became very agitated and was freaking out, hearing the sounds of battle and hearing his troops dying in a friendly fire incident in afghanistan involving 2 F-16s who bombed them during a live fire exercise.I need this guy for referance in my own sitrep. Is the PTSD that he has going interfere with his day in court in defence of me.He knows the truth but I dont wish to further agitate him as he's in bad shape.Would exposure to the courts throw him back into the same reaction?

My best friend was a Marine, with lots of "sh.." in his head.
I took 20 years getting him past his ordeals.
I took him into a dark room, with a tape recorder, and let him spill his guts all alone. Everytime he had "memory trips" he did this. It helped, as he would later listen to the tapes himself, and began to understand it was not his fault.
These tapes, used in court are like gold.
The human brain can only stand so much shock, and until it is relieved, can destroy your friend. He will be reluctant to talk to you, but the logic of telling himself, and looking from outside the box, can help him, and you.
Don't push him, sucucide by post stress GI's in very high. Help him, and possibly find another resource.
Good luck, and GOD speed..

I assume you are represented by counsel in this case. Have that attorney or his agent speak to your potential witness and determine whether he should be called to testify.

Only a professional could answer that. Find a doctor/psychologist and ask his opinion.

How important is your case? Is it small claims court? Or is it a criminal charge that demands jail if convicted. It's a burden that you alone must carry.
