Tip for hairdresser = 15-20% of cost of service no matter how expensive. So, if the bill is $125, the tip ranges between $20 -25.

I've learned that isn't always about the amount of the bill, but sometimes it is about the amount of time that you spend in their chair. It's a lot like going to dinner. If you have an average dinner 15 percent is acceptable (not fantastic, but acceptable) If you spend an extra long time in that chair/table, then the stylist or the waiter can't any more money from that chair/table, so you need to increase your percentage. So if you are spending an hour or more in the stylist chair and he/she can't take care of any one else, then maybe bump it up a bit. If you are spending $125, I'm guessing you are getting quite a bit done, so I would minimally tip $25, which would be 20 percent. Of course there are a couple other things to factor in: does your stylist own the salon you go to? If so then they get some return on the price of the service already. Do you like to get special treatment as in last minute appointments or extra coloring or styling treatments for reduced or no cost. If so, then bigger tips always help

At least 20 dollars. Thats about 17 percent of 125 but if she did a really good job and you like ehr I would say between 25-30.

My mother was a hairdresser that retired a couple of years ago and she seldom got tips from cutomers and her pricfes were cheap. The was nothing that would have cost $125.00. her haircuts were 8.00. the moset she got was 2.00 and she was thrilled that was for her 35.00 perm and it was a 1 to,e deal. I therefore alway tip at least 10-15%

About $15 - 20.
You tip 15% on average, unless service was bad or amazing.
