Somewhere between 2,000 and 2,500 mosques..

No one knows the exact number as more are being built and some are being destroyed (not in hate crimes but due to normal construction take down the old to build the new) every day...

I think it's like 1200...and considering there's 6 million muslims thats like 5000 Muslims per Mosque =(

I live in Alabama. To my knowledge, we have three major masjids in my city, a couple of Nation of Islam masjids, an Ismaili masjid, and several smaller "breakaway" masjids.

I'd guess that across the U.S., "registered" masjids number well over 1000, but there may well be many more.
