The Knock sensor is important, it keeps your pistons from burning up due to detonation(the pinging you hear on hills) it should be an easy fix though. It is a one wire circuit, and could just be disconected, or a bad sensor, and its not hard to replace. I would see if the seller will take care of it for you though....

This code is as important as all the others. This usually a fault with the sensor or the connection to it. The problem is some of these trucks motors have the sensors under the intake plenum which makes it difficult to get at. Nothing money can't fix, but it is a lot of money to fix a simple problem. You decide, get a quote for how much and you will have your answer. Good luck.

i wouldnt worry about it it wont affect anything mechanically i had the same code come up on my truck once just check to make sure that the knock sensor plug is pluged in and the wires arent burnt up

probabaly just a bad sensor or un plugged unless you can hear knocking while the motor is running. I would use it to help me negoiate on price. get some kind of a mark down and then replace yourself

you don't have to pay for a repair at all on it,its new,take it back to the dealer and let them fix it,it has a warranty on it ,use it while you can,you,ll miss it when its gone ,and you do have to pay for repairing it,good luck on it.
