Because society as we know it is not that great and crime, stress, immorality are getting progressively worse whereas according to New Age and Evolutionist theories we should be seeing the opposite and we should all be progressing towards a Utopian enlightened society.
Purely atheistic regimes have so far been a miserable failure resulting in the deaths of Millions - Communist Russia, Hitler's Third Reich, Pol Pot in Cambodia etc
Likewise, religious regimes who were not following Christian principles have also been less than ideal societies to live in, for example Muslim States under strict Sharia law and Roman Catholism in the Middle Ages.

There's that bit with the guy dismembering his dead girlfriend who he sent out to be raped by a gang and then Fed Ex'd the body parts to the tribes of Israel for no apparent reason.
That first guy who answered said Sodom and Gomorrah. I wonder if he meant the bit where Lot sent his daughters out to be raped by a gang (lot of gang rape in the OT) to keep his guest from being raped.
Then after they flee the city and his wife turns into sodium, his two daughters get him drunk and seduce him.
Yes, you read that right.
The thing is, there are A LOT of really nasty stories in the bible. (The Old Testament especially).
Oh and then there's all the genocide. Yahweh feels the need to tell Gideon and others to go out and slaughter anyone who believes in 'false' gods. Luckily, the OT is a work of fiction and most of these genocide stories appear to be the lunatic writings of people determined to make their tribe of desert madmen seem much tougher than they actually were.

Those were addressed to the Israel people at the time of Moses, the pig is considered dirty but it was clean by Jesus Christ and now the pig meat is good food to eat.
What is against the society is the smoking of cigarettes and drinking of hard liqour and the use of addicted drugs because it will destroy your body.God love us that he do not want our body to be destroyed ,

If you are talking about the society that is secular than all things stand in opposition to God. What is good that does not come from the Father... nothing. If it is of this world than it is evil, if it is of God it is truth, just, and righteous.
