My strongest subjects are English and art. But I'm not too sure what kinds of jobs are open in that area. I've also been told I'm good at helping people with their problems. I'd like to aviod the teaching career because I don't want to go back to going to school everyday. Suggestions are very appreciated

Become a therapist (psychotherapist). You sound like a good candidate. You are good in English which means you have good conversational skills. You are good in art. Therapy is an art. In fact, child therapists use art as a therapeutic tool. Kids draw pictures to communicate or just for fun. The pay is about the same as a teacher. The hours are flexible. You will need a graduate degree in psychology or a related field. I'm a therapist so I should know how to spot a future one.

You can take career aptitude tests online for free. You fill out a questionnaire about your likes, dislikes, and skills. It gives you some options. What's nice, is that not only would you be suited for the jobs, but would enjoy them. Just Google "career aptitude test" in an advanced search you could put "free" or "online" in the Include the Exact Word slot.
