You need to allow yourself to be washed by the Word of God.
There were two pictures in the tabernacle of the Old Testament that spoke symbolically of cleansing.
The one was the altar, where the sacrifice for sin was offered. This foreshadowed the cross.
The other was the bronze laver, filled with water to cleanse away defilement. This represents the Word of God - the Scriptures.
We need to know what the Bible says and believe it in our heart.
Do you know your sins were forgiven once and for all through the shed blood of Jesus Christ?
Have you received His Holy Spirit into your heart, testifying within you that you are a child of God and received into the family of God?
This is first and most important.
This is what Jesus referred to as being "born again"; born of the Spirit. (see John's Gospel, chapter 3)
"Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God."
John 1:11-12
After we have received Christ, we still need cleansing when we sin. This was pictured in the Bible where Jesus washes the feet of His disciples (see John chapter 13)
We need to simply take God at His Word:
"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.
My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world."
I John 1:7-2:2
It is very important that you begin to read the Bible, especially the New Testament for yourself.
Only then will you have an answer for the Devil when he comes to accuse you. It is his aim to make you feel guilty. It is God's aim to make you know you are forgiven.

When you repent, no matter how awful or embarassing the transgression, Jesus forgives it. It is gone from His mind. The creator of all things has washed you...you're white as snow. You're free. It's okay...there's no magic wand to make the guilt go away...you just have to do the let go thing. It's not easy, everyone makes it sound automatic, but once you put your mind on spiritual things, the past becomes past, the stains are gone, and it's a new you. That's what they mean when they talk about the joy.
So there's no trick. You just haven't got your head into the right place...and that's okay. You have to grow. Chances are that if you focus on your faith rather than your faults...in time you will not have this problem.

To walk around in guilt is to say Jesus didn't do His job.
The reason you feel guilt is because you feel you're insulting Jesus by asking forgiveness. Like you're not worthy.
Don't you think He knows why you sin. Don't you think He understood His mission when He died for you? That He did it freely; without reservation? That He wants you to come to Him daily?
Why not rejoice that you have a savior. Make the most of your relationship. He did it all for you and if He had to He'd do it again. He loves you!

After repenting from your sins and have asked forgiveness of your sins and feel that it was already forgiven, do not commit the said again and again. In short do not do it anymore.

I'm not really sure what to do. I'm in the same situation as you.
I feel like I'm not worthy of Jesus. I cannot shake the sins that I have commited.. they will haunt me forever.
Just try to be a good decent person and help others when they are in need. After, this is what Jesus did.

When you are saved, all your sins are forgiven, past, present and future, the work is done, totally. When we sin as a believer, we break fellowship with God. We go to Him, not to be forgiven, that work is done, but to acknowledge our sin and restore fellowship.
Now, the guilt you feel, what is the source? Is it God? No.
Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to flesh, but according to Spirit.
God no longer sees your sins, He sees you in Christ. Either it is Satan, who is the accuser of the brethren or your own flesh. Now, don't confuse conviction by the Spirit, which will drive you to God for restoration with the guilt after that is done. We need to keep reminding ourselves of our status with God, totally forgiven, totally justified, totally accepted, totally saved and in the sanctification process. We all feel a twinge of guilt after the fact, but after you have restored fellowship with God, put it away, don't dwell on it. Remember who you are in Christ and your standing with God, and move forward, leaving that sin and the guilt associated with it behind.

There is a beautiful song about how God takes our sin and throws it into the sea of "forgetfulness". The song is by Helen Baylor. That song helps me to think of God doing just that - taking the sin that we asked forgiveness for, and tossing it into the sea to be forgotten forever. We are to strive to not sin in that manner again, and working toward that goal also helps you forgive yourself. God bless you.

It is tough. We have been conditioned by society with things like guilt and shame. These are things God has no use for.
The religious leadership of Christ's time gave Christ the most humiliating death they could think of and it did not even phase him.
Remember that the way you treat yourself is half of "Love others as you love yourself", so if you treat others better or worse than you treat yourself you are not following the word of God.
Treat yourself as well as you would treat others. If you do not want others to feel guilt, do not force yourself to feel guilty.

You must realize that once you are saved by the blood of Jesus, He also gives you all power and authority over the devil, and over all of his kingdom. (Luke 10:19) By this I mean that we are given the power to command the devil to get his hands off of our life completely, and to keep his hands off of us. All that you are experiencing is condemnation from the devil. You must speak to the devil, just as Jesus spoke to the devil, and remind him that you are a child of God, and that he has no right to touch you in any way. You must also realize that God gave us a full suit of spiritual armor, which we must wear every day of our life. We are told of it in Eph. 6:10-18. Do not try and fight the devil by yourself. He will destroy you. Leave the fighting to the Lord Jesus. Just trust the Lord Jesus, and He will take care of you. You are now God's property. Satan has no right bothering you whatsoever. Remind him of this fact everyday. Do not be afraid to tell him to get gone. Jesus is behind you one-hundred percent. God bless you.
