I saw one of the "Christian" answers, your first one. And that is the kind of answer that is Hell spawned. I am a Christian, and I know that homosexuality is a sin along with anyone else that breathes air. We are sinners by nature. It's a part of what we are.
There are no non sinning people on the Earth, nor have there ever been since or before Jesus. What made Jesus so different is the fact that He was incorruptible. We are promised incorruptibility too at the resurrection, those who are in Christ that is.
What we are NOT doing as Christians ( hopefully) is getting other people to think that we have to be sinless in order to be saved. We cannot be sinless.
So to me, homosexuality is just more evidence that we are sinners. Not a worse sinner, but a sinner nonetheless. God won't allow anyone who is a sinner into heaven UNLESS there is propitiation made. And what do you know? The propitiation was made by Jesus Christ!
Now I know you are going to see it, and may already have seen it. The verse from Leviticus. Saying that it is an abomination. That's quite true. But along with that are the other sins that tell us what we are right along side it. What our friend who answered the question first doesn't understand is what Romans 3 talks about. And he also doesn't understand why Jesus came to Earth in the first place is. You can pretty much guess that the person who answered first does not know much about the Bible at all! He MIGHT know what it says, but he has no understanding about what it means.
So homosexuality does not mean anything to me, the message I want to tell people is about the Gospel. That is the most important message out there. And the one that many "Christians" preach about homosexuals wasn't repeated by Jesus Christ.
So I wonder who told them that they should abandon the Gospel for that message?!

Much of ultra-modern christianity is some distance worse than the Pharisee's ever have been. The Pharisee's have been looking to comply with God's legislation. They have been diligent and really conscientious. Christiantiy in these days has mentioned that the legislation is completed away with and that there is not any justification in a few conscientious observance of the legislation of God. Judging others, on this case homosexuals, is not even seemed upon as sinful. Having mentioned that I could additionally say that simply as ridiculous as christiantiy's 'obsession', is the gay group's seeminly blissfull lack of knowledge of what the Center's for ailment Control and the American Medical Association has to mention approximately the homosexual and gay tradition. It is not lovely. It is not healthful. They describe in photo element the penalties of the homosexual tradition, and it seems like hell. This is not coming from a few bible-thumpin christian, however from scientific technology.

I think there is a lot of imbalance in answers on this one.
The simple answer is certainly that that consider them sinners because the book says so. A google search can find you details in wording to make your own interpretation - in case you'd like to be able to argue the point intelligently with some bible thumping ignoramus that comes your way.
Then there's the why. Ok, granted most religions function like a thought virus... Maybe even a lot like aids. Impregnating and spreading through thoughts and ideas in the body and spreading sexually in any way possible... In this case many xtian types do seem to want to convert or destroy. Much less so than before - and yes keeping people breeding grows their ranks. The more they breed the more they dominate - obviously the one with the most members wins. :-)
The other part may likely have to do with a number of things such as:
1) People who added/modified the book as time passed. We know this isn't like some huge publication written by god himself in a single edition and then printed and faithfully re-printed in all languages since the begining of time.
2) Many ancient guide-books, tales with a moral and religios books... well they're ancient! They had to spread word of how things should be done and people were too dumb to understand why. People who write the stuff probably didn't even know why it's a collection of wisdom that's kept them and their families alive long enough to evolve out of the caves and learn to pass on information. Like jewish kashrut or kosherism as I at least like to call it. If you look at all that makes food kosher is little more than preperation techniques that provide safe, clean food from a period when people had no idea how or why food could make you sick if things weren't done just so. Even still we all know to always wash our hands after handling raw meat and not to cut a raw chicken on the cutting board and then use it to chop a salad. But now we know how things work and how to avoid problems. Premarital sex can be considered bad because it increases the odds of having a kid when you cannot provide the family and care required to raise a kid properly. Look around, I'd bet most of the obnoxious ignorant pricks you meet every day are a result of people having kids who shouldn't have, at least not when they did.
Similarly there's the disease spreading aspect just having to do with STDs but then there's good ol' anal sex which obviously isn't so clean and back in ancient times lots of rough wonton ***-rape could probably lead to plenty of sickness.
Which is why, though I dislike organized religion I cannot find too much fault in the ancient teachings, but I do recognize that some of the value is lost in the modern world and outiside of the intended context.
Personally I'll take "The Meditations" written to himself by Marcus Aurelius over any of these "bibles" without hesitation - thanks to my good buddy for pointing me in that direction. Absolute genius if you can read through keeping in mind the different definitions of words from back then.

I wonder, what is actually "SIN" means in Christianity.
Some people would say " God say it's sin", against God's will or whatever.
But WHY, it's against God's Will.
According to my answerers here, they were born gay, so how can it be a sin if they cant even help themselves.
Islam usually explain why some actions are said as a :sin.
Is it just like the 3rd answerer here say? It's rather too naive tho.

Non christian are so quick to try to link sin with homosexuals for the purpose of reducing their extreme as to a simple sin of which can easily be forgiven. you all know the bible verses and how it is referred to as abomination so lets skip that part and face reality. If you do the will of the father you may ask for forgiveness of your daily sins. What is your fathers will?
To honor the father and mother to go forth and multiply for generation after generation until the end.
Look around you at the animals how they mate, their offspring
the way of all life, If you believe or not, logic demands that any
lifestyle that cannot reproduce after it's own kind is not viable
and illogical. therefore to recognize this behavior as anything but an abnormality or perverted behavior is illogical. Even in animals this behavior is not excepted and dealt with by the stronger animals to insure the survival of the species.
The bible is a guide as to how you should live for you to live healthy and strong for mankind's existence, don't follow the instructions and your family tree will die, it's up to you.

its not normal behavior very much like stealing , lying, killing, adultery, fornication, and other things. There is much wrong with that behavior very much like child predators are wrong in their behavior. And as others mentioned the bible condemns such behavior. The bottom line is that it doesn't even have to do with religion. Gay people from their behavior have caused much harm to themselves as well as others by their activity. An example of that fact is AIDS. If being gay were normal how would they have been born?

Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
1 Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
The previous verses are just a few of many condemning homosexuality.

this is one of those "drink" questions for true Christians....
All kinds of people put labels on all sorts of things. For some, picking your nose makes you gross, for others, yelling at other drivers makes you a raging lunatic. There are labels everywhere.
"Calling" someone a "sinner" is a label.
True Christians will rather say "all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God" - this includes homosexuals, and it also includes themselves. And it matters not what the "label" is... ALL have sinned!
That's why true Christians, true followers of Christ, will truly preach the forgiveness of God through His son Jesus. No one can stand for Jesus. ALL have sinned.

I seriously doubt the allmighty would care if somebody is gay. I think god has more important things to worry about like how his/her/it's precious creations are killing each other and the beautiful planet we live on. People need to get their nose out of that book of fairytales and evolve. Homosexuals are not hurting themselves or anyone else, so close minded people should mind their own business.
