it lasts about 45 min. There is singing, reading of the days scriptures, and then the homily, and then the priest says the mass, which are prayers (from scripture) and then the concecration. People receive communion, the priest gives a blessing, and then they sing last song and it is over.

I was raised catholic so I am qualified to answer seeing as I was once an altar boy. (And no the priests didn't take any liberties.)
Most masses are about an hour long. They are a set ritual, so every week you are going to see basically the same thing. The only things that change are the following - the music (to an extent), the two bible readings, the 'gospel', and the priest's sermon.
The only reason why a mass might be longer is if you end up with Father Herman, the priest who ran my church back then. That man would blather on for about 45 minutes every Sunday. Normally a sermon will be 5-10 minutes. That should give you an idea of how long his masses would be.
Occasionally there'll be a special mass that might be a bit longer (Holy Day, Baptism, Funeral, etc.) But mostly you are looking at 60 minutes of the stand-sit-kneel calisthenics.

Mass is usually about an 1 hour sometimes 45 minutes or sometimes 1 hour and 30 minutes. It depends if it is a holy day,a baptism, 1st Holy Communion, or Confirmation then it may be leaning towards 1 hour and 30 minutes.

In Australia, the usual Sunday Mass typically takes about an hour, unless it's a special occasion when it might take a little longer. A weekday Mass might be half that, because there's no sermon on a week day Mass.

I, as a Reform Christian, have visited Catholic mass many times. They are typically an hour. If you want a mass that's 3 hours long, I recommend the Greek Orthodox mass. It's also in Greek! :-)

Well I've heard it stated that Methodists are "Catholic-lite" so that you must experience a Mass carrier. The factor is not what church you move to, however whether or not or now not you've gotten a private dating with Jesus Christ. If you've gotten a calling for your middle to seek advice from a Roman Catholic church, then move. It feels like God wishes you to peer or pay attention whatever there which will upgrade your stroll with Him. God Bless!

Welcome.
A typical Sunday Mass lasts about one hour to one and a half hours depending on the amount of music and if there are any additional rites like a baptism.
With love in Christ.
