im still in love with my ex but we decided to be close friends. He likes me a little but tells me it annoys him when i text and call him all the time. finally when i dont text or call for a day he IMs me first saying "hey whats up?". I was obviously excited. it was really hard not to text him but nothing comes easily rite? anyway i dont want him to pull away i want him to chase me for a change i want to show that i can be independent. Was no texting and taking long to answer the IM good? should i keep it up?

i think that he is wanting to chase you so let him and wait it out.

You should keep yourself occupied. Show him that you don't need him, that you are not thinking about him. He is in control. You need to be in control of you, and your life. Don't wait for him to get a clue, and then become more hurt when he doesn't. You should move on for you. If it is "meant to be" then he will realize that. He just needs you now as a backup for when he is bored and wants someone to fall back to, and if he realizes that he does truly care, maybe you will still be around, but if you are not then you would have started a new and better life w/out being his backup.

It looks like they put you in the wrong section for this, but here's my two-cents worth: get busy and live your life, so you're not playing games when you don't text him; you're really too busy. Only text him back, don't initiate anything. And keep it light when you reply. I hope this helps. Good luck.

well, you are playing a game with him - and that isn't fair.

look, it was good that you laid off the texting and calling. no one likes to be crowded by anyone. if my husband did that, i would flush is phone down the toilet. it's annoying.

the thing is that you are getting your feelings hurt for being told the truth. that is not the best reaction, but it is normal.

be independent. you don't have to prove anything to your ex.

THE PERSON YOU NEED TO PROVE SOMETHING TO IS YOU.

Oh the games people. Maybe the divorce was a mistake. Why not pray about. God'll certainly give you a better answer than any of us here.

In that way, he is trying to test your sincerity , But he is not really in love with you. he just want friendship. Look for another man who will love you and understand you very well.

Yep. If he wants space, give it to him. It'll either be good for him and show him that he wants to be with you, or it wasn't meant to be. As hard as that is to accept, it does happen in life. Good luck!

Men like to hunt. Its in their blood.
They hate women chasing them, it takes away the thrill of the mystery.

Be laid back, and not so eager.

Best wishes.
