roll the egg on a hard surface so the egg shell cracks into small bits. The egg shell becomes very flexible and easier to peel.

I agree, don't use the eggs you just bought, use the ones you've had awhile and are about to expire. They will peel easier. You also have to boil them correctly to make them peel easier: cover with at least an inch of cold water, bring to the boil, then cover the pan and turn the heat OFF. Leave the pan on the burner though. Set timer for 13 minutes. After 13 minutes, put the pan in the sink and run cold water into it until the eggs are cooled through. Then refrigerate. Cold eggs peel easier.
To peel, tap the bottom of the egg (the large end) lightly on the countertop to begin cracking where the air pocket lies. Then gently roll the egg around with slight pressure on the countertop to crackle the shell all over. Then begin peeling at the bottom where the air pocket was...it gives you a good starting place without having to dig into the egg. The shell should peel off in crackled sheets at this point because of the membrane inside the shell, which is easy to grab if you start peeling at the air pocket.

Extremely fresh eggs will not peel easily. In fact, an egg that is just a day or two old is almost impossible to peel. As eggs age, the shells will peel more easily. So, use older eggs (but, not expired ones!).
To peel...crack on all sides, roll egg between hands to loosen shell, and remove shell.
Good luck!

First---You have to boil them correctly. Bring to boil for three minutes, turn off heat, cover and let sit in hot water in the pan for at least 10 minutes.
Cool in cold water. Crack the egg after they have cooled down and it should be effortless. Get a piece of the egg shell off and start peeling.

boil the egg first and then peel it under cold water. The water helps loosen the shell and it comes right off using your fingers.

I usually first roll it on a hard surface so it would crack and then run it under water because its easier to get the peelings off and it becomes nice and smooth.

Lots is right. But when you have done that, peel it under cold running water. The running water helps to loosen the shell.

Generally I find that tapping it so it cracks a little, then rolling it across the counter under your hand with some pressure is the best way. The shell comes off really easily.

use a potato peeler, it works great, just make sure you squeeze the egg very hard while you peel it.

run it under old water. Then crack it. The shell should come off without sticking.
