I know they target the hamstrings but do they deal with speed or vertical jump?

the target muscle is the hamstring with the leg curl. overall leg strength is need to generate optimum force for running or jumping. most people neglect the hamstring and it leads to muscle imbalances and injury in that area.

probally in some way...calves are moreof your speed kind muscle
