There is a limited number of houses that can be sold here in SoCal and so many people in the US and in the world want to live here. Prices rise when there is so much demand...

The weather is the biggest reason things are so expensive. There is no place else in the United States that can match the weather in Southern Calilfornia. Everyone wants to live here.

I live in Compton. My neighbors are selling there house, for 279k its 3bedroom 1 bath 0.18acre. However, you could buy a house in Beverly Hills as big as my neighbors for 2million.
By the way, Compton has some glamarous places too.
If you want a new house, well they are seilling new houses on the most wanted part of Compton for 480k. 5Bedroom 4 Bath.
