Now I KNOW Israel can be dangerous but most of it is beautiful and safe. I am goign there this year or next with my mother, and possible father because my mom wants to check out living spaces because she wants us to move back there (ancestors from there) in four years. Anyone from Israel, want to tell me about some beautiful places and society there? I know how to speak Hebrew a little and read it but English is spoken there as well, right? Please, no anti-Israel, please.

Yes, English is spoken very well in Israel, so don't worry! You won't have too much of a language problem.

There are many, many beautiful places to visit. For me, the most special was Jerusalem; I've never felt as safe anywhere as I did when standing touching the Wailing Wall.

Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Memorial, is also somewhere that I think all visitors to Israel should go and see. The Israelis have succeeded in creating a memorial that is haunting, refined, and quite simply unforgettable.

Jerusalem, S'fad, Ein Gedi, Masada, Haifa, almost anywhere. Try to speak as much Hebrew as possible. You will get corrected but the corrections are always in a nice manner. You can eventually attend an Ulpan course to learn Hebrew. Most people are functional after only six weeks.

Israel is the only country in the world where you pick up a hitchhiker because (s)he is carrying a submachine gun.

Despite the attacks by Islamic militant groups, Israel continues to be a beautiful place to live. It has both man-made and natural attractions and the country has a great history dating even before the Biblical times.
