im not going to hurt it or anything... my cat is an indoor outdoor cat he used to love being inside instead of out and he hates other cats, but suddenly one day i was watching him eat and this other cat walked up behind him they looked like twins almost! and he never comes in side any more because of that cat they are like best friends and i just want to take the stray to the vet to make sure he is healthy then adopt him if he is. when i first saw the cat he was skin and bone now he is pretty good weight because my cat shares his food with him.

You can buy HavaHart humane traps at Lowe's.You would buy the size for raccoons. You just leave the door up and put some food inside, and the cat will go in.There is a metal plate that triggers the door to shut when the cat steps on it.Then you take the cat, trap and all to the vet.If you don't want to buy one, animal shelters willl sometimes let you borrow or rent one.

we had a problem kinda like this. Put cat food or somthing in a cat carrier and tie a string to the door. Let the cat eat out of it for a couple days then sit behind the cage and when u know it is in the cage pull the string to close the door and bam u caught a cat. This worked when we had 5 stray kittens in our barn. Good luck

You need a live animal trap. This trap you can buy at hunting stores or TSC tractor supply company. This is a trap that allows the animal to be caught without being harmed. Just buy the trap set it up with some bait, you might want to keep your cat in for awhile so you dont trap him lol. The cat will step on a trigger when trying to get the bait and will be the enclosed in the trap.

Awwwww that is so cute if your cat shares his food with him then you should probably just scoop him up when he is eating with your kitty i don't know how the stray will react to that though so i guess you can try luring the other cat with food and your little kitty so he doesn't go nuts on you!!

get some kind of meat like ham or chicken hold it out to the cat and when it eats it you grab it or if you dont want to touch it leave a trail leading into your house
