You should be proud to be an athiest. It's difficult to escape religious superstitious indoctrination in this day and age.
Congrats.

I am glad you are happy. I wish more people in this world were.
From what I've seen here on R&S religion doesn't guaranty hapiness. When questions come up such as, "Why are you religious?", people say things like, "Because Jesus loves me, and died for my soul to be saved." or "So I don't go to Hell when I die.". They don't say that, "My religion makes my heart free and fills me with love and kindness for others. My religion is the one thing that brings me happiness.". I'm sure that most of them do feel this way. That's just not what they say.
The things that make most people happy are not religious. I know that my family makes me happy. Doing good for them, and seeing them smile, makes me happy. Doing something good for someone else makes me happy, such as being extra nice to the cashier or waiter who is serving me or holding open a door or donating money. Helping my best friend and knowing that she'll help me when I need it, makes me happy. These things are not religiously oriented, but they do bring a little more joy and happiness to the world.
Having a religion (any religion!) is a wonderful thing that does make some people happy on a daily basis, but it is most certainly not the only thing.

People mix up faith and feelings. For example, some people equate faith with a perpetual religious high. When that high wears off, as it inevitably does, they start to doubt whether they have any faith at all.
Feelings are connected with some dimension of faith, but a lot of that has to do with people.s temperaments. Being happy doesn't make you right with God.

You can be happy without religion, but not without God. Whatever you consider to be happiness, may not truly be happiness. I pray that you one day find your way, then and only then will you experience true happiness, which is found in Jesus Christ.

If you are happy, that is all that matters. I believe in something higher then us but I will not try to push my beliefs on others as long as you are happy and leading a good-healthy life. To each their own.

You have the ability to choose to be content. God knows you are content and leaves you there to be that way. And that's the way it is.

It is good to know that you are happy now. However, God requests that you be happy in eternity also.

Well, why don't the headhunters feel guilty? No one feels guilty about what they truly believe, right or wrong.
