The A plan is a discount for Ford employees and their immediate family. When you go to the dealer, you inform them that you are an A plan customer and ask to see the invoice on the particular car you want. The A plan price is posted on the invoice. We receive 4 A plans a model year.

In addition, we get another 4 X plan numbers that are for family and friends. This would include neighbors and Uncles and Aunts. Cousins, or whoever you want to give them to.
Normally, we get another 4 plans numbers. These discounts are not quite as great as the A plan but they are fairly close. good luck to you.

It is the A-plan indeed. Basically any direct family member can get a cheaper price on a new Ford, if sold through a Ford or dealer employee. I think the family can buy up to 2 a year on the A-plan. Supposedly, it is sold at cost with an allowance to the dealer from Ford to cover floor plan and sales costs. The dealer will never show you the true actual cost from Ford, but it is certainly much cheaper than the average person can buy one.

Local dealers advertise these prices in the Detroit newspapers, if you're ever curious about it and want some hard data. It's incredible how low they are.

They don't actually advertise prices for "normal" people there.
