This is my advice: either go with a group of good friends or go with a date (if you have a great friend or steady bf/gf). Don't go with a random person or an acquaintance, especially if the person is obsessed with you. It could turn out to be a very awkward situation. If you are questioning about prom, chances are you do want to go a little bit. The other things that you need to consider are that there are costs involved, although you can make prom be pretty cheap.
In my own experience, I went with a sorta-friend to junior prom and it was alright. However, I went the next year with a big group of friends without dates and it was a lot more fun.

My school had a junior-senior prom, and my junior year, I had no intention of going, but the teacher in charge of decorating for the prom asked me to be on the prom committee. I agreed, and felt that since I'd done all that work after school for a solid week$, that I should go. I was glad I did. Even though I didn't have a date, I had a blast dancing with several girls. I went solo again my senior year, and had even more fun. Go to the prom, enjoy yourself, and make sure you have that memory.

That's the whole thing about it...go and make your own experiences. Just have fun, go with a great girl and or group of friends and have a blast. It will get you ready for high School Prom if anything.

Know how I spent my junior prom? Watching Disturbia. In a movie theater. With two guys. If you can foot the bills, go to your junior prom, even if you have to go stag. After all, there's only one junior prom. If not the junior prom, at least go to your senior prom.

The one thing I do regret is I never got to go to any of my prom. At the time I didn't have the money to buy the tickets and the dress and neither did my friends. What fun would it be if I go alone? But then I should have find a way to raise money so that we all can go. Why do I regret it? Because It is one of the few times you can dress up with fancy dresses. I even had a boyfriend at the time and he didn't ask to go!
Ah well....

YES!!! ive gone to 2 junior proms and the senior prom and i am a sophomore!! they are always soooo much fun. you get to get dressed up, and dance to crazy techno music!!, and ride in a limo, and get drunk after, and eat good food!!
you will have a blast EVEN if none of those things appeal to you!

I went to 3 of them and i loved them they are memories you will have the rest of your life and its great. I am not sure if you are going with someone or not. some of the girls go by themselves and meet someone there its fun and its the last time you wil ltruely be with all your firends and its true. i mean once you leave and make your own way you may see them at 10 years or maybe 20 we were 25 years and it was like we never were apart it was great. we did have one divorced who took it pretty hard and 35 was once divorced but that is what makes the world go round. go and make memories that you can remember till your days are gone.

i went to both of my proms by myself because no one asked me, and that is the only regret i have in my life. this is just me, but proms are all about dressing up nice and going out with a date. doing it alone is an embarrassing thought to remember.
i should have gone on vacation instead...

Actually I had a middle school dinner dance and was quite fun,Just remeber that the main goal is to have the most betiful dress than all the other girls. And you have to know how to dance with or without a partner.
