I don't feel the inventors of the idea of rapture had much faith in their ability to pass the final test so they made up a way to avoid it.

The whole point of the end of time prophesy is to test ones faith isn't it, if your not here whose faith is it testing? And I don’t think Gods testing your faith in him but your faith in yourself.

Ever noticed a liar thinks everyone else lies, a thief is always worried about someone stealing their stuff, someone that talks about others is always worried about others talking about them. I don’t feel a person with no faith in oneself could ever have faith in a God.

I feel all humans needs to be and will be here for this test.

Christ will come for his church,....but a rapture is where most believe they are going to fly outer hear, no this will not happen because we must stand in the full gospel armor of Christ,...the armor was not given to run,...it was given to stand against Satan........no retreat no surrender.

The topic is false prophets teaching things that God never said,...only man's vain heart spoke this.

Ezekiel ch 13 : verse 1......And th word of the Lord came unto me saying ...V: 2 Son of man prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts...V: 3 Thus saith the Lord God,.....Woe unto the foolish prophets that follow their own spirit an have seen nothing!

And it continues for many verses that he is speaking against False teachings. So let's skip to verse 16.....To wit, the the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem and which see visions of peace for her,.....and there is no peace, saith the Lord GOD......( He's got that right,....look at Jerusalem now,....they are really trying hard for peace,.......This is Prophecy Now happening.....they speak peace ,peace and their will be none) I thought i would put that in passing.

Let's go to verse : 19 And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread to slay the souls that should not die...(to prophecy falsely that they should be slain) and to save the souls alive that should not live (to promise life to those that should not live) by your lying to my people that hear your lies........I'll we leave the rest for you to read personaly......Ezekiel Ch 13 verse 16-23 read it for your selves,....in short it says,.... I am against your pillows, where with ye there hunt the souls to make them FLY, ( escape) and I will tear them from your arms and will let the souls go , even the souls that ye hunt to make them FLY,.......God is definetley against this teaching,....but it says he will deliver his people from such teachings,....the eyes of God's Elect are being opened as we speak, God has allowed a covering of the eyes for many so they will continue to Believe a lie,....but when he arrives he will make known many things,......We must put on the Gospel Armor to fight a spiritual flight,.......We can't just sit around polishing our Armor and figure when Satan comes that were not goiing to use it!........I guess their are some that would just rather zipp right out of hear.

To those that would rather fly out of hear.......Have faith brothers and sister........Wasn't Christ with the 3 hebrew children when they were thrown in the fiery furnace,...they were untouched,.....How about Daniel when he was thrown in the Lions Den,..he shut the mouths of the Lions......god will keep us from the hour of temptation for sure,....For when Satan arrives he will be in Jerusalem claiming to be Christ,....he will be dong many miracles in front of man,...it say's he will deceive the nations........we must prepare to stand,...other wise we will stumble in these last days. God Speed!

Well over 10 what?.... classes? Testing should be straight forward. Any instructor that test a student to see if they should be promoted should be kicked out of the school. Testing should have the student do everything that is required for the rank that they are being tested for. The student should be able to do everything at the level equal to the rank they are testing for. you would expect a black belt to do something that a beginner does much better. The only question is can the student do everything at the level he should be functioning at? And can he do it without HESITATION. Unfortunately many test end up being students blundering through some moves that they can't do well and don't understand. Walking through something and being able to defend yourself with no warning are tow totally different things. If anyone is in a school that allows student to test that obviously barely walk through things, should think of looking for somewhere else to train. ...

The rapture could come anytime, but I don't have time to worry about it. I'm too busy answering questions on Yahoo. I have too much faith in myself and that causes God and me to get into some really great arguments. If He can't believe by this time that I believe after all the two of us have been through together, the rapture won't make one bit of difference.

Can of worms, Sean, can of worms!! (LOL)

I perceive the rapture to be something completely different. I perceive the rapture to be a process, an evolution of humankind. I think it is all about energy and accelerating that energy to move through to a new dimension of thought and feeling -- of no space and no time (4th dimension) -- where we will think and feel something and there it is. That is my perception of the rapture.

The traditional rapture would probably leave behind more Christians than anyone would begin to believe. The dogmatic fundamentalists lack the ability to move beyond a book to true faith. True faith is in the heart, not in a book.

Both would involve 144,000 people. No more, no less. I do feel it will happen in our lifetime, at least it will begin to happen in our lifetime. And I agree so completely with your statement that if a person has no faith in themselves, they could never have faith in Source.

No one really knows what will happen, but I have heard one explanation regarding your belief that people made the rapture up to avoid it. Some people believe that Christians will be raptured, and then everyone will realize that Christianity is the truth. Then, since they didn't believe until they had proof, anyone who accepts Jesus at that point will have to die to be saved (because the antichrist and his group will kill them for believing). I don't really have a stance on what I think will happen, but this seems plausible.

If there isn't a rapture in my time, then I will pass on as others before me, and it won't affect me. For Christians, salvation depends on a relationship with Jesus.

The 'rapture" is simply referring to when Jesus comes for the church~
And there will be a rapture!!!
Praise the Lord~
As for the rest of your question: Deceivers will wax worse and worse....

I have to agree with you. In my encounters with deeply rooted christian churches, that was one of my major points of contention. I don't believe there will be a rapture per say. I believe that this is the Laodiceans Church Age.

Well, the rapture must happen in the future, and that is the only presequite. at any givin point in time, if the rapture *still* hasn't happened, they can just say "it hasn't happened *yet*", and then eventually, it is the year 3,324 and we have outgrown foolish beliefs and fantasies.....
