If one can have the body renewed, kept alive, and functioning for ever, what would you name this person?
I am not speaking about the Christian myth, but you might as well draw on that story... Any comments?

you know, as long as we live, our skin has a fantastic ability to renew (grow over minor scarving), I'm just asking you to think a bit further :)

think about this... heavenly bodies keep existing for... ?....(prior to men according to science, Earth being old, yet new), we know about close to nothing regarding 'how' 'why' 'when' beyond drawing various conclusions... species changing trought history (as far as we can tell)...
waiting to see more answers...

I suppose you'd call it a naturalist transhumanist. Transhumanism is the movement to use science to extend human lifetimes or even conquer death, enhance man's natural abilities through genetic modification, cybernetic augmentation and the like, etc.
So a naturalist transhumanist would be trying to achieve the same, but within the parameters of the human form - I think you could classify the extreme new age health freaks who believe in superfoods, raw food diets, meditation and such to extend life as naturalist transhumanists.
Incidentally, I'm a new age health freak. Raw Food Rocks!

The Christian "myth" assures us that every person who ever lived will in the end of days be literally resurrected with an immortal body, and experience either eternal blessing or eternal punishment in their resurrection bodies.
"I (Jesus) tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself. And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.
Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out—those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned."
John 5:25-29
"However, I (Paul) admit that I worship the God of our fathers as a follower of the Way, which they call a sect. I believe everything that agrees with the Law and that is written in the Prophets, and I have the same hope in God as these men, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked."
Acts 24:14-15
" Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt."
Daniel 12:2

Hey, Love your name I watched your series when it was on the family channel. (oops wrong xena).
I believe everyone is resurected. Be they good, bad, or even if you listen to country music. I would just say the resurrected person is just who they were before,
be they a warrior princess, or a christian. The body is perfected, no heart trouble or missing fingers..

What about the other 20 billion humans? Don't they have a chance to live exceedingly long lives? Where do we put everybody?
