I was in a recent conversation with a fellow brother in Jesus Christ when we came to an interesting point in our conversation. I dont know how we stumbled unto this verse but it was a great discussion with it. 1 Corinthians 7:12-14, 12But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. 13And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.14For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. He was stating that the child would be holy unto the Lord, however, a verse popped into my mind to counter this verse though,Psalm 58:3The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.4Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear

I then realized back at 1 corth 7:12 it said 12But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.. So it stated that paul was stating this, and not God. However my friend pointed out that again Paul was an apostle, and having the foreknowledge of the jewish traditions, and was the one who was persucuted the most. What is your say about this, cause this confused me to believe that there are some born unto being holy. Yet what happens say that the child is seperated from the man or women who is rightious, and does wicked? Does it mean he is still saved, because he was holy at birth?

I believe all the passage is saying is that a child born to a believer is the object of special divine protection and favor for the sake of the believer. To separate might bring that child our from under the special protection of God if the child ended up with the unbelieving spouse. Paul is talking here of believers being married to unbelievers, and if just one is a believer, the whole family remains under the special interest and favor of God.

This is really a long one. First of all I want to post that the Bible is God's written Word to us.
It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit.
“Above all you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” 2 Peter 1:20-21. (New International Version)
That being said, the Christian's Salvation is because of Jesus' death on the cross. Justification is because of the Christians belief in Christ as his Lord and Savior and Sanctification is a practical progressive holiness in a believer’s life while awaiting the return of Christ..
The unbelieving wife or husband is sanctified or is taught by the life of the believer. The children are taught by the example of the parents.
Psalm 58:3. We are all wicked in the womb due to the sin nature that we inherited through the disobedience of Adam which brought death and sin into the world. This is the reason that Jesus came to die for us. We are not worthy of God until we are covered by the blood of Jesus. Jesus gives us salvation and justification. We must work on our sanctification ourselves according to us allowing the indwelling of the Holy Spirit who was given to Christians for the help that we need to follow Jesus.

Paul was telling the church that God created marriage and although we are to be equally yoked if we are not then that is not a reason to separate.
No one is ever saved except by the saving grace of Jesus Christ. All are called but not all will answer. The only way around is if a child dies before the age of accountability.

Psalm 58:3 was talking about the general condition of mankind. It has no cross references with 1Corinthians 7:12 -14.
Have a look at a site :
It has very good study guides.

There are many contradictions in the Bible because they were written by different writers who had different faith experiences and beliefs. That's why we Catholics do not rely on the Bible as the sole infallible guide to Christian doctrine and practice. We need an official interpreter of the Bible and for us that happens to be the Church. Divine revelation did not stop after the Bible was published. Revelation continues to this through the Church founded by Jesus who said "I will be with you till the end of the age."
"15if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God's household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth." - 1 Timothy 3,15

the verses don't contradict each other. the first refers to having a believing mom or dad, that assumes they bring up the child in the lord's way.
the second verse refers to people who are born to be evil, it doesn't matter if they are brought up in a religious home or not, they are going to be evil.

I'm just wondering how someone can be wicked and speak lies the minute their born. Isn't that a bit weird and confusing?

You know, I don't know how to interpret your verses. I have some of my own favorite verses to share.
66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
