I have a mole on my…private part. Not on the outside but on the inside. I’m 14 years old and I really think I should get it checked…but I’m sort of self conscious. I don’t really like stripping down in front of people and I sort of don’t want to show my parents…if you know what I mean. What should I do?

As a person who has had cancer because of a mole I strongly suggest getting it checked out. When I went to get moles checked I was told doctors are more concerned with moles that you have gained overtime. If you have had this mole there since you born you most likely have nothing to worry about. However, it can't hurt to get it checked. Stripping down is not always easy but maybe try seeing a female doctor so you feel a little more comfortable. Just keep in mind that doctors see all shapes and sizes of people. This is really important to get checked out because you just never know. Good Luck.

how do you know it's a mole?you may be able to touch it but you can't see it. i suggest you talk to you regular doc about it. get passed the anxiety and have it checked.

I know you are scared, but you need to show your Mom or school nurse. It may be nothing, but if there is a worry, you need to get it checked out ASAP. If you have bleeding or if itches, please show it to an adult you trust.

i know its weird to show your parents but if you dont want to show them then tell thwem.. its a matter of life or death here because if u do have cancer(god forbid) then you should tell them about it.. maybe they know why..
