Every thing in the universe, big or small is created by him and owes its existence to him.
Belief in the unicity of God is the bases on which the Islamic Society is based. Since a Muslim believes in one God and holds that all human being emerge from him. He treat all people on his equals and does not discriminate among them on the bases of race, colour creed.
The political, cultural and other systems of Islam are based on the fact that real sovereignty lies with Allah. The Quran says:
“Blessed be He, in whose hands is Dominion. He over all things Hath Power.”
(Surah Mulk)

Equity and Justice are the soul of the Islamic Society and these naturally proceed from the cardinal concept of Unicity of Allah. No civic society can survive without establishing itself with the principles of equity and justice. Accordingly the need of equity and justice has been deeply felt by every society. Its absence turns a society into a Jungle. In such a society life become unbearable, the Holy Prophet has said:
“The nation which loses sight of Equity and Justice is dooned to disaster.”

In order to relegate the differences of language, race and customs, the last Prophet of Allah emphatically said in his last sermon:
“You are brothers to one another. No Arab is superior to a non-Arab, and no non-Arab to an Arab, and no white to a black and no black to a white.”

Salam, I try to answer your question the best I can. Yes, everyone is born equal in the sense that he/she is physically clean and spiritually sinless. Prophet Muhammad saw said :" Every child is born clean and without sins like a white cloth, it's his/her parents that are responsible to shape their child's character either to be good or bad, either be good Muslim or Jewish/Christain" Differences in personality, thoughts and ideals depend mostly on the way parents shape, nurture, feed, teach and add colors to their child's characters. The best tool for parents to guide their children is to teach and practise the teachings of The Quran and The Sunnah among the family members. For sure, we'll never go astray if we firmly hold these two Islamic principles. Wassalam.

Yes in the eyes of God and in Islam every one is equal including males and females. Based on the sex Allah has given some characteristics to men and some to only women. Therefore husband and wife have their different duties and rights towards each other to live together in harmony. Women are given lot more love as compared to men necessary to raise a child. Men are given extra physical strength to work hard to earn living for family. It does not mean women are not supposed to work. After taking care of her child if she has time and can manage to work suitable to her personality and her role in society like being a teacher or a care giver. Islam does not prohibit women to work as long as she doesn't put herself in situation where she can be harrassed by men like working as a waitor in a male nude dancing club. Because the quality of men that go there are not so good and some of them may harrass the female waitress. This is merely an example. There are many more jobs women should avoid.

People's personalities and mental capabilities can be heavily influenced by genetic inheritance and the prenatal environment. So, no, people are not born equal. My cousin's mother was an alcoholic who drank heavily during pregnancy, so he was born with fetal alcohol syndrome and mental retardation. That is totally unfair to the baby. You can't look at someone like that and think that every one is born equal.

In many countries, people have equal standing before the law.
People aren't born equal in any other sense. Many, many people are more intelligent than I am. Many, many people were born into families with lots of money, while others are born into poverty.
The world isn't fair, but we can try to make the laws as fair as possible.
