This text requires us to know the reason of our faith and practice, that our piety may not be superstition, but the result of intelligent conviction, arising from thorough investigation. (Charles Finney)

Agree or disagree... if you agree, have you studied what you believe; if not, how are you comfortable in your ignorance?

The text you quote is telling us to discern between good and evil and to hold fast to the good.

No one said that because you have faith you can not question or research your faith. How else do you come to know the Father and be in fellowship with Him? Read your Bible. All the study in the world will not stand with out faith. All Praise Glory and Honor to God!
