As many as necessary. He sees the Iraq war as the same kind of existential threat that FDR and Truman saw in Japan and Germany. Read about the fire bombing of Dresden, Tokyo and other cities. You probably know about the a-bombs. How many Japanese and German people were those people willing to kill? Bush sees Iraq as the same thing.
Not my argument -- just passing it on.

How many Arabs???
Your kidding right?
Or are you unaware that Americans are dying.
Never forget that you can still legally fly into Damascus, hire a driver to take you across the border into Anbar province and join up with a local insurgent group.
Hope to see you over here.

You are missing the real questions.
How many Iraquis are the terrorists willing to murder in order to prevent them from living free?
How many people - both US citizens and foreighners - are the so-called "liberals" willing to sacrifice just to damage the Republican chances in the next election?
What level of violence is needed in order to get what you want, whenever you want from the US Congress? In which case let's cut the violence bit, and hand over Florida.
