Stuffed peppers and boiled potatoes!
I don't really have a recipe as I have made it so many times over the years that I use guesswork for measurements.
I can tell you how to make it though and you would have to adjust it to your tastes.
Boil par-boiled white rice until al-dente and drain.
Put raw hamburger (mince) in a bowl and combine with the cooked rice (the ratio should be about equal). Add one egg yolk. Flavor with salt and pepper, mix together well.
Take a bunch of bell peppers (not too large though, the smaller ones tend to be tastier for this). Cut off the tops and de-seed them.
Using a teaspoon, stuff the peppers with the hamburger/rice mix. Lay the stuffed peppers in a rectangular casserole dish.
Pour two cans/boxes of tomato sauce in a bowl and flavor with salt, pepper, and a bouillon cube.
Pour the tomato sauce over the peppers.
Put the peppers in an approx. 392 degrees F (or 200 C) oven for 1 hr. 20 min.
As a side dish: Boil potatoes (you can peel them before or after). Strangely enough, they taste delicious with the tomato sauce.
I have been making this for years. My kids love it, my husband loves it, and I love it!
Good luck!

Gingerbread Cutouts
Yield: about 2 dozen
1/2 cup butter (no substitutes), softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1 egg
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1 to 2 tablespoons cold water
In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar. Beat in molasses and egg. Combine the flour, baking soda, ginger, salt, cinnamon and cloves; add to the creamed mixture alternately with water. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until easy to handle.
On a well-floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4-in. thickness. Cut with a rocking horse cookie cutter or cutter of your choice dipped in flour. Place 2 in. apart on greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 F for 9-11 minutes or until edges are firm. Remove to wire racks to cool.

plum berry crisp!
For filling
1 1/2 pounds purple plums, cut into 1/2-inch wedges
1 cup blueberries (5 ounces)
1 cup blackberries (5 ounces)
1/3 to 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar (depending on sweetness of fruit)
For topping
1 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 stick unsalted butter, cut into bits and softened
1/4 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 425°F with rack in upper third.
Toss together all filling ingredients in a 2-quart shallow baking dish and bake 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, blend together all topping ingredients in a bowl with your fingertips until butter is evenly distributed and mixture is crumbly.
Stir fruit filling, then sprinkle oat mixture over it and bake until topping is crisp and golden and fruit is bubbling, about 30 minutes.
Makes 4 servings
using blueberries is really good too either with or in place of the blackberries.
