Religion is a game of who has the most converts.
No one actually cares about REALLY helping others.
For example, see the second answer. He mentioned sending bible and building churches. These people are being slaughtered and are starving to death, and JW's think they need bibles?!?!
How ******* retarded.

As a baptized Catholic, I can say that I do not hate jehovah's witnesses. In all of the sermons I heard, I never heard the Catholic Priest preach hatred against anyone, including Jehovah's witnesses. I think your friends are poor representatives of their respective faiths. On the other had, there are many fundamentalist christians who hate everyone, including Catholics, muslims, jehovah's witnesses, and mormons.

Darfur is very important to you. I very much appreciate that. So many these days do not care about anyone – much less total strangers. Thank you for caring. It is important to you; to Jehovah's Witnesses too. Do you feel this is one of the problems which should be addressed first? Certainly immediate action can benefit the people of Darfur. But I am certain that because you care so much, you want long term improvement as well, yes?
That is the approach Jehovah’s Witnesses take. If I may, how do you feel about what Christ Jesus did? Recall that in many ways, conditions in the first century were quite awful for innocent, helpless people. Do you feel that the way Jesus helped people was practical? We try to follow his example.

Well I think probably the fact that we refuse to take any part in military actions helps greatly. In other words, you can know for a fact that we in no way are helping the atraucities. We offer to share basic Bible teachings, which let's fact it, if everyone strived to follow the Bible, or for that matter most belief systems, these things wouldn't be happening. A basic tenant of many beliefs is what is known to most Christians as Love your neighbor as yourself. Most likely the reason the Witness mentioned your bumper sticker is because clearly it is something of interest to you and that the Bible talks about things like this happening and we have our opinions on what God will do to fix it, just as I am sure you have your opinions.

We are doing the same thing we did in Malawi, protecting folks from both sides,, regardless of tribe or national affiliation, All those who worship the True God first, and All innocent bystanders of genocide next! The War in Malawi was a worst case picture! This new WAR in Dafur is as hateful as the old war! All causes By Satan, NOT GOD Almighty, Jehovah!

They will not lift so much as a finger to get involved with anything political. They will aide fellow witnesses, and do some giving, but that is all.
To claim that Witnesses did anything but print and hand out Watchtowers for Malawi, is re-writing history...I WAS a Witness then, and nothing was done whatsoever...outside trying to help fellow witnesses.
Hannah J Paul...I have to call you on your answer...lots of talk, little ideas on how to help..sorry.

In Darfur we are doing exactly the same teaching to the people and helping them have faith That Jesus will finish their problem during his kingdom, we sent help to build house and kindom halls, and read them the bible to build them hope.
Do you know how many buildings and help do we send, we saw videos in all congregation around the world of testimony of people giving us thanks for all the support.
it was amazing and very heart breaking their comments I am a man and almost was crying.
the only one that can resolve definitly that problem is Jesus Christ during his 1000 years kingdom we pray as he taught in Matthew 6 requesting the will of God in earth as in heaven , the only way that can be stopped.
Maybe the one who comments that send them money to buy food and bibles or built them halls prefer to spend the money supporting wars.

I am hoping that these "Witnesses" realize that the end of the world as we know it is upon us, and that they change their doctrine rather drastically. As far as Darfur and all nations affected by war and genocide, this will be repaired in approximately 7 years.
