my girlfriend can't stand guys crying?

things went bad for something in my life and today i called my gf to talk to her just to vent and she was almost upset cause i started to cry a little ,she said she can't stand when guys are crying,she dont know what to do she feel bad. so i stopped crying and i swear she will never see me cry once again.is this normal or she is the only girl like that?

thats not normal! she shouldnt force you to repress your feelings because she is uncomfortable, you had the bad day, you should be able to release your feelings, even if through tears. SOrry

She's not the only one like that...you'll do yourself a great disservice crying in front of your lady because many aren't socialized to accept that behavior from men.(It erodes their confidence in your ability to handle yourself). Is there anything wrong with crying? No, but knowing that for yourself and proving that to your significant other are two different things. Find another trusted outlet to vent when you need to, and keep a stiff upper lip in front of your lady. Things will go much smoother for you as a result. Remember though: don't buy in to the "Manly Man" stereotype,you'll hurt yourself emotionally. Even John Wayne wasn't really "John Wayne", his name was Marion Morrison.

I believe i speak for the global community when I say its more fun being around a happy, easygoing fun individual, than it is with a sappy, lost, angry depressed person who wants people to sympathize them. I dunno, its kinda like going to a wedding or a funeral sorta thing. The only reason. I can suffice to give you why people like being a shoulder to cry on are three simple realistic views. 1) comforting a family member. 2) Comforting a friend cause of a long history together. 3)Comforting a friend in the hopes of making her fall in love with him because he made her feel safe and loved. Yeah, or why else would they tolerate that ****. I don't see them do that willingly for ugly girls.

it makes sense, kind of. it could just be a psychological thing because the reversal of the standard media-influenced gender roles can be unsettling to some people. however if you feel the need to cry you shouldnt bottle up your emotions. find someone who you can talk to, hire someone if you cant think of anyone and talk to them next time something like this happens

youre human!! guys cry too, i dont see why people make a big deal out of it, you were hurt and its normal to cry, what if she were to call you and she started crying and you'd say "gosh i can't stand when girls cry!!!" she'd probably feel like trash...did she even try to cheer you up or did she just get mad

its a natural emotion.i love to see a guy cry because it shows how sensitive he is.she sounds like she has no emotion and if thats the case you would be better off without her.never hide what your feeling,it only leads to trouble and the longer its held inside the harder it gets to release and when you do,its like a raging river.

Yes it is very normal. its probably b/c she really loves you and don't want to see you get hurt. You wouldn't want to see her cry would you?
