Restless leg syndrome is a disorder that makes you want to get up and move. Your legs give you problems when you are sitting or lying down. A person with this disorder feels much better when moving around. It can affect a person of any age and can get worse as the person ages.

On the other hand, intermittent claudication is a circulation problem precipitated by exercise. People with this disorder have to stop and take breaks when even just walking. The pain abates when they rest but it comes back with a vengenence when they start walking again. It is a form of peripheral artery disease that usually manifests in those over 50 years of age. This is a serious disorder that can be disabling if not treated.
