The human body is nothing but a set of chemical reactions. The chemical reactions powering a human life are no different from the reactions powering the life of a bacterium, a mosquito, a mouse, a dog or a chimp. When a human being dies, the chemical reactions stop. There is no "soul" mixed in with the chemicals, just like there is no soul in a bacterium, a mosquito, a mouse, a dog or a chimp. Why would there be an afterlife for the chemicals that make up a human body?
The whole notion of your "soul" is completely imaginary. The concept of a "soul" has been invented by religion because many people have trouble facing their own mortality. It makes people feel better, but the concept is a complete fabrication.

Please don't judge or generalize. Plenty of Atheists believe in a soul, just not a God. And to say that we're "far away" and that souls are "abvious" is just ignorant of other belief. Ah, and do you have proof in a soul? There is no proof that anything has a soul-- even humans. No scientific proof on the fact either (except a few urban legends). None of us have proof so you can't say your religion is right either. No one can say they're right or that any other belief is wrong. All we can do is listen to fact and proven theory, and hope we're right.

First of all, it's obvious, not "abvious". What makes it so obvious? You can't prove that a soul exists, so if some choose not to believe that's their right. Just as it's your right to believe it does.
The part where you become wrong is when you expect the rest of the world to believe the same as you do.

No, i do no longer think in a "soul". We do have a great wide awake, the sense of genuine and incorrect. all of us comprehend what's solid and what's incorrect, those individuals who have faith in self progression stress the suited and sidestep the incorrect. It does not take a preacher to let us know the version. it is all interior the Gilden Rule. it is been shown 1000 cases that non-believers, on the time-honored, are on the genuine of the intelligence ladder, the genuine of the earning ladder, the moral ladder, and are the leaders in each walk of existence. The poorer the country, the extra non secular the individuals. The poorer the guy, the extra non secular he's. the less smart, the extra non secular. needless to say, that doesn't recommend everyone - - - yet take averages.

'The most abvious thing inside you'?? Asides from the hopefully, typo, you are quite mad. If it is (o)abvious that you have some weird thing living inside your head, it really should be off to the funny farm for you!
You are correct, we are far away from you, considering you are about as far away from reality as it is possible to be.

Ummmm, we don't believe in God.
Oh, and "not having a soul" is not the same thing as "not having soul".
I think I might have soul, but I don't think I have a soul. At least not one that will live on after I die.

We don't need to imagine a 'soul' in order to explain how a river works, so why do we need one to explain how a human works? Truth is, we don't. Everything works just fine with atoms and molecules and forces - Physics and chemistry. No soul required.

There is nothing obvious (note spelling) about the soul. Would you mind pointing to yours? Where, exactly is it inside you? There is no soul.

No, I don't believe I have a soul. I don't believe in ghosties, and that includes my own.
And exactly in what way is the soul "obvious"?

Golly, no mister. I'm a cracker.
But even though I am a white boy, I can at least still spell "atheist", unlike half of the people who post rhetorical "questions" with the word in the title.
