I think hypothetically a person could open a box that contains a 480 volt control for an underground pumping station. That person could hypothetically put a hand inside there and get his hypothetical butt fried.

Most of those boxes have alarm circuits connected to the police or a private alarm company. By the time they get there even CPR would not help that hypothetical vandal get a heartbeat again.

It could be electrical, or it could be telephonic.

If it's sealed with a padlock, you cut off the padlock. If it's got a regular lock, you drill the lock.

You should be aware that messing with that box is considered a terroristic act, and that it's not just a felony, it's a *serious* felony. It's not worth spending a long stretch in prison.

Hypothetically, of course.

A padmount transformer. You can (not-hypothetically) be killed by touching the high-voltage primary side. Leave it alone.
