I was doing minstry related job, serving God in other country for few months. After i came back to the states, I've been looking for a job. My heart is continually serving God, but my parents are keep on forcing me to get a real job. They don't want me to do ministry at all. Due to my parents saying stuff alot, I've been constantly applying, doing interviews, searching for a job but I never got one. Companies are not calling too much or either that position for the job was already filled. Although I constantly pray so that I can work for a while before I go to ministry, I am not being hired. So now, Somtimes, I feel that I lost the passion to serve although it is my desire to go ministry. Somtimes I feel so stupid because I am not being hired at the same time. I dont want to work in secular environment rest of my life, just doing work all day. What lesson is God teaching me? how can I respond and pray for situation like these? How can I restore my vision?

God will help you make the right choices, but in the end, it's YOUR decision to make, and you must take steps to bring about the end result. Stop waiting for signs and miracles. Get on with Life! Do something positive!

For one thing, stop whining! Prospective employers definitely don't want to listen to whiners. Decide what it is you want to do and go about doing it in a positive manner.

Start by praying for God's will. Ask him to show you the right job for you. God sometimes hides his face from us. Take a day from all the rushing around and devote it to God. Spend the day with God, fast. I don't know the lesson he has for you but consider that it may be his will for you to enter the ministry immediately. We plan, God laughs. Sometimes we are given a job and we do not have what we need to do the job until we actually start. Moses was not prepared to lead the people in the desert and God did not provide it in a lump sum but as it was needed. Cry out to God. Read the Psalms. Pray the Psalms. Remind yourself of all Jesus did for you by reading the Gospel(s). You can try all of these or just a few.

First of all I would suggest you call on God to let you know exactly what He has for you to do
depending on what type of ministry you feel is what you are called to do there are often many things to learn in order to better serve in that capacity, so it may mean menial labor and in that service He may lead you to minister to others or use it to lead you to what is His ultimate purpose, either way get a job put it in God's hands and beleive He will have His perfect way
I understand how you feel, but it does take patience to learn and to grow
Maybe a youth group would be some very good fellowship

First, know that God will always provide for you. Stay connected through prayer. A door will be opned to you. God is ever faithful. Seems like you have already decided that a secular job isn't right for you but understand that whatever you do in life you are serving God. Be pamay be hindering the Holy Spirit. So submit to the will of God.

Are you still in school? If God gave you the vision to work in the ministry, then in due season time) he will cause it to happen. You should be seeking him for direction, and, in the meantime keep looking for work. Just because you work a secular job does not mean God can-not use you there. The fields are ripe for harvest, Allot of times God wants to use us in common everyday situations. He has all kinds if showbiz ministers, Are you willing to do the everyday common things, minister to common folks? Because ministry is more than preaching, You have to get down in the gutter with people meet them where they are in order to reach them.
Times are different now, God needs his ministers to be bold even when you don't feel bold...........are you ready for the call?

Pray for Him to open the doors He wants open. Maybe He's giving you a little break before going into more ministry.

I think you are using ministry as an excuse not to work. The apostle Paul worked with his hands and also ministered. Paul was a tent maker. Paul also said if you do not work you do not eat. Most people I know work and have a ministry. Sounds like you want other people to support you while you play.

It is the worlds desires verse God desires. Listen the true prophets of God will NEVER be found wearing suits and ties, and be mindless people pleasers. They will be like John the Baptist, eating locusts and living in the desert.
