Yes it is possible to be anti illegal immigration and have a heart just like its possible to be pro and be concerned about the citizens who are affected by illegal immigration.
Who would give the lady above a thumbs down for charity work with citizens....

That's just what some don't understand -- some of these people are bribed by "coyotes" who claim they can get them "temporary" green cards to work through the Mexican consulate in the states (which is BS).
These people actually believe they are coming here to work legally (and shell out what ever life savings they've got to put food on their table) and instead wind up being sold as slaves. There is absolutely no exaggeration to this. I've done stories on this. There is a horribly dark nature to this trafficking of humans, that is just so morally wrong. There are industries that prey on the desperation of these people. What is more disconcerting is that many Americans are so insistent on basing their political opinions on racial stereotypes. Listen to your instinct, and more importantly - your conscience when deciding on taking a firm political stance on any issue. In other words: at least be fair; don't base a political stance on stereotypically-fueled arguments that have no solid information, or stats to back it up with.
I understand that it’s unfair -- there are those people who may not be playing by the rules, but remember, it's out of desperation. And when people make the generalized assumption that EVERYONE is playing by those rules – that’s just a flawed, and dangerous assumption.
I have journalistic integrity, and I will defend whoever has no voice.

Yes, though the anti-illegal ones with hearts just requesting for illegals to register legally, instead of demanding illegals to be deported.

It is not about having heart or not. To be able to make wise decisions in any aspect of life, you must first be able to separate the people from the problem. The people are from all walks of life and a wide variety of situations. The problem however is clearly defined: The U.S. has millions of people who are here under illegal conditions and consequently are hurting society. The actions that were taken by ANYONE here illegally have involved #1 Disrespecting and Violating the laws that were made by citizens of this country to govern all people within our boarders. #2 Defrauding the American people in that they have resided here and benefitting from the fruits of liberty our country provides without taking on the civic duties that all citizens are obligated to do; including registering for Selective Services (males only), Paying taxes, providing census information, etc.
Taking into account that there are legal avenues to take to become a citizen of the U.S. and these individuals have simply elected to not wait in line like is required for everyone, deviance has taken place. By standards held to U.S. citizens, when deviance occurs, punishment is sought.

Of course. Most of the folks who are anti-illegal are pro law-abiding. Again, how can there ever be two sides to an issue involving breaking of the law.
Either you are ok with foreigners breaking the laws of your nation or you are not.
Are the Mexicans equally heartless for enforcing their immigration laws??
I hardly think so. This issue is not about human compassion. It is about maintaining the security and integrity of the United States. These illegals are by and large the citizens of the Mexican nation, which seems to care nothing for them.

totally. there are people out there who don't agree with breaking the law. i sympathize with many immigrants, and i do think it's frustrating, i know first hand that it is. but that's no excuse for disregarding the law and disrespecting another person's home. you can be a caring person and still expect people to follow the rules.

LOL, your taking it to personal. We all share our opinions. But America acts as if illegal immigration just started. Lets reflect on greater issues like starvation, welfare and the good of the world. We are all people, Why so much hate towards each other. We don't chose were we want to be born. Do you think if you were born in poverty, you would want to migrate some place where you have some chance of survival. I would. But we all should have hearts whether pro or anti. Just be fair and don't judge what you don't know.

Yes it is, and just one example: any number who have posted that Elvira should have been deported and feeling really sorry for the kid caught up in this though.
I also believe it is possible to be pro illegal and still be a reasonable individual who doesn't curse, call people filthy names, TYPE IN ALL CAPS SCREAMING....but quite a few people have been huring that side lately as well.
