In the Bundesheer (Federal Army) there are 21,000 regular troops and 24,000 militia members. They have an air force with four regiments. One of the regiments flies F-5 aircraft rented from Switzerland. Four of the squadrons are helicopter units for troop movement. Austria, being land-locked, has no Navy.
