I started taking amnesteem (generic to accutane) close to a week ago. I will be having it for 5 months. Can i drink alchol with it or will it not make the meds work right to clear my skin?

According to Drug Digest, alcohol can increase the risk of developing high cholesterol or high blood lipids. The MayoClinic website indicates that using alcohol while taking this drug can affect the usefulness of the medication. WebMD suggests avoiding "the use of alcohol while taking this medication because it may increase the risk of certain side effects (e.g., pancreatitis)." don't risk your life for it let it, out of your system for at least a few days if you plan on a binge, and don't drive drunk if you drink and have to drive, sober up on soda which will make you even drunker at first then coffee or at least water.but better to have a sober designated driver.Then wait for at least 2 days before starting on it again

You can drink alcohol, and do anything you like. You may not like the outcome, however.
