I agree with the first answer. Make sure his penis is pointing down. Also, limit fluids within an hour of nap or bed time.

Um, he's three? I agree with most of the people above when they said by age three, you should be encouraging the usage of the toilet. In our house, only water is given to drink after 6:00pm and it is limited. We only usually give our three year old a half a cup of water on her night table so if she gets thirsty in the middle of the might, she can take a sip. If your son is constantly soaked in his own urine, maybe it has to do with the amount of fluids he is being given. Make him use the toilet before he goes to bed (whether he likes it or not) and maybe you can also give him a potty to put in him room so if he feels the urge to go in the middle of the night, he doest have to go far. D id you say, he takes morning AND afternoon naps?

Can i ask why at aged 3 he is still sleeping in a nappy ? he should be potty trained by now, he could most likely be drinking way to much before bed time and he knows he is in a nappy and he doesn't have to get up to use the potty/toilet , you should really get him in pull ups or pants limit his fluid intake and ask him to use the potty before bed else you are really going to find this nappy routine hard to break with him. i know how hard it is my nine year old son is still in nappies he does have autism though and we go through the same
best of luck

He can only wake up wet if he drinks too much before bedtime. It's quite a simple solution - he obviously doesn't sleep lightly to be that wet in the morning. So don't allow him bedtime drinks of any sort! In fact nothing to drink for at least an hour before bedtime is the answer. You probably know this - but you've got to be quite firm to follow it through.

I to have a 3 year old, but he only occasionally wets now.
Make sure he/she doesn't drink much before bed and do not let them go to bed with any drink. Make sure they also go to the toilet before bed. They normally cry or moan before they wet, so get into the habit of taking them to the toilet when they do. Explain to them that they shouldn't do a "wee wee" in their sleep as they are getting big now. Sometimes they wet when they are upset or disturbed so make sure you and your partner do not argue when the child is asleep. If you have to, do it quietly or just walk away, your childs well being is more important than your problems and will afect the rest of their life. However generally it is purely do to the amount they drink in the time before they sleep.

Try switching to an overnight diaper they absorb a lot more. And actually I have always had to get up and change my youngest in the night or her diaper would leak without fail. It was never like that with my oldest but my youngest I either changed once or stripped her bed and bathed her every morning. And the GoodNites are very absorbent also but I do not know if your son weighs enough for those. They are made for kids who wet the bed so they hold a lot more.

before everything do no longer panic ! I honestly have a three 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous boy nonetheless in nappies and can't communicate over with nicely in any respect. On a remarkable word your boy has shown that he can pass to the bathroom if he has no nappy on, So he's often used with whilst he desires to pass. do no longer positioned your self under a lot rigidity to have him dry and with slightly success utilising the bathroom in certainly one of those short area of time. in basic terms proceed what you're doing keeping the nappy off in the time of the day. I honestly have invented the nappy fairy who will pass away a nappy under the pillow at bedtime if he will use the bathroom in the time of the day and it form of feels to be working. yet another factor which has helped me is leaving off the nappy and pants and letting the youngster positioned on lose installation bottoms which he's able to drag down himself. definite you will get lots of injuries yet you will additionally get circumstances whilst he will use the bathroom. many human beings say the youngster must be praised whilst he makes use of the bathroom and besides the shown fact that I completely trust beneficial compliment i think of to a lot of an argument may well be delivered approximately whilst the youngster makes use of the bathroom so save it beneficial yet no longer OTT !. As for nursery I nonetheless cant get my boy to positioned on pants for nursery daily so we comprimise on a pull up with pants over the genuine, the nursery isn't even conscious that he does this. Mabey that is cheating or letting him have his very own way yet whilst it keeps the youngster happy then whose to nicely known ? finally the pull up can get replaced with pants by way of fact the youngster grows in self assurance in nursery and desires to repeat different infants by using going to the bathroom. reliable success, desire some suggestion could have been of use.

take your child to the toilet before you put him to bed. ALSO take him again before you go to bed. He will stir, but not fully wake up so you will have to hold him over the toilet. This should mean he can see through the night with an empty bladder. Hopefully after a while you can ditch the night time nappies!

If he's 3 he should be using the potty. If you're putting him down for a nap, have him go to the bathroom before the nap.
Run the water if he thinks he doesn't need to go. He'll go.
And be happy he still naps, it'll be over soon.

Try going up a size in diapers. If it does not cover his belly button you will probably need another size bigger. You could also limit the amount he drinks before bed and making him go potty before getting in bed to try and cut down on how much he urinats while sleeping. I noticed another poster suggested pointing his peepee down, that is also another good idea.
Good luck!
